The P-125 allows for incredible dynamics and expressiveness. The Pure CF Sound Engine includes the sound of the renowned Yamaha CFIIIS 9′ concert grand piano. It is the result of over a century of acoustic piano craftsmanship combined with state-of-the-art technology and expertise. In addition, the Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) 88-key piano keyboard provides a heavier touch in the low end and lighter touch in the high end, so it can be played with the expressiveness of an acoustic piano.

Authentic piano sound
The newly improved 2-way speaker system produces an expansive piano sound in both upward and downward directions. This gives the player a rich stereo sound, as if you were sitting at an acoustic piano.

Simple operation using the Smart Pianist app!
Smart Pianist allows you to control the many functions included in your Yamaha digital piano with your smart device. Voices, rhythms and other settings can be selected through the familiar touch screen of your phone or tablet, making it easy to control the functions of your piano.

You can also use the Chord Tracker function to learn how to play the chords of your favorite songs. Chord Tracker analyzes the songs from your music library on your iPhone or iPad and displays the chord symbols so you can play along! Find new ways to enjoy your P-125, using smart functions that only a modern digital instrument can provide.

Bass and Drum beats jam along with you
P-125 has on-board Bass and Drum tracks that keep your playing in time and follow your harmony. There’s a variety of rhythm patterns to choose from depending on the vibe you’re going for. From rock to ballads, use these rhythms to add an element of fun to your practicing or use them as a backing band for your performances.

Optimal sound on the table
The new “Table EQ” feature enables the player to enjoy optimal acoustics, so even if you play on a hard, flat surface, you get the best possible sound.

Smart Pianist for P-125
Have you ever tried to figure out what the chords are to your favorite songs? The Smart Pianist app is here to help! Smart Pianist helps you practice and perform your music by analyzing the songs in your music library and then displaying the chord symbols for you to play. The app also allows you to use your iOS device to control the functions included in your Yamaha digital piano for easy and intuitive operation.

Intuitive Controls
In addition to selecting piano Voices, you can use the Layer function to overlay Voices or the Split function to play different Voices with the left and right hands. A range of functions such as Transpose, Tuning, Pedal and acoustic settings can be configured easily and intuitively from the touch screen.

Play along with your favorite songs by following the chords
Smart Pianist analyzes the songs in your music library and displays the chord symbols so that you can play along with your favorite tunes.

Recommended songs for the Chord Chart feature
The Chord Chart feature of the Smart Pianist app does a great job analyzing tens of thousands of songs. However some songs, especially those that are more harmonically complex or less harmonically defined, are not as well suited for the Chord Chart analysis. We have analyzed a number of popular song titles to give you an idea of what type of music tends to get the best results so that you can get the best experience with this innovative feature. If you like these songs or artists, then it’s likely that other songs like these, by these or similar artists, will also achieve good results with Chord Chart.

Connecting an instrument to iOS devices with Smart Pianist V2.0 installed
An Apple Lightning – USB Camera Adapter and USB cable (sold separately) are required. Connect the USB cable to the USB TO HOST port on the instrument.
